Encouragement is one of the most powerful gifts we can exercise. The Bible consistently calls us to uplift and strengthen one another in faith.

1 Thessalonians 5:11  “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

Encouragement is more than just kind words – it is an intentional act of love and support that can change people’s lives.

We live in a world where discouragement is easy to come by. People are facing personal struggles, doubts, and fears. A simple word of encouragement can make all the difference.

Proverbs 16:24  “Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.”

Our words have the power to bring healing and hope to those around us.

Encouragement is not just about what we say, it is also about what we do. Acts of kindness, a listening ear, or simply being present for someone in need can be profound ways to uplift others.

Consider Barnabas in the New Testament – his very name means ‘Son of Encouragement’ (Acts 4:36). He played a crucial role in supporting the Apostle Paul and the early church.

Who in your life needs encouragement today?

Let us be people who intentionally build others up, reflecting the love and grace of Christ. Whether through words, actions, or prayers, let’s commit to being encouragers in a world that desperately needs hope.
