Well, it took five days to happen, but our Prime Minister finally conceded that “More should have been done to combat antisemitism” prior to the horrific massacre on Bondi Beach. That should have been a segway into announcing some effective and long-overdue initiatives to kerb the growing threat in our nation. But what we got was a commitment to ramp up hate speech laws!

What a catastrophic failure of leadership!

The worst terrorist attack on Australian soil has just devastated our whole nation. Fifteen innocent Australians have been brutally murdered. The nation is reeling. Families are grieving. Fear has gripped the hearts of millions. People are demanding answers – how did this happen, and how do we stop it happening again?

And the Prime Minister’s response is to threaten the very people asking those questions.

Instead of confronting the real issues – violent Islamic ideology, radicalisation, and a dangerously broken immigration system – Anthony Albanese reaches for the laziest and most ineffective weapon in a politician’s arsenal: hate speech laws.

Not counter-terrorism laws.

Not immigration reform.

Not deportations of known extremists.

Speech laws.

As if words are the problem!

As if silencing debate will somehow stop knives, bombs, and bullets!

Here’s the reality the government refuses to face: the people warning about Islamic ideology and reckless immigration policies are not the threat. They are the tsunami early warning system.

For years, voices have been raising alarms that the political class didn’t want to hear. Under these proposed laws, even voicing those concerns could soon become illegal.

That is absolute madness!

Terrorists do not obey hate speech laws.

Extremists do not abandon their cause because Parliament tightens definitions.

Radicalisation does not stop because politicians police the language we use!

These laws will have ZERO effect on violent extremists.

They will only muzzle ordinary Australians – journalists, pastors, parents, voters – who refuse to pretend there isn’t a problem.

Hate speech laws do not make a country safer. They suffocate debate, drive dangerous ideology underground, and guarantee that warning signs are ignored until it’s too late.

If the government genuinely wanted to prevent another Bondi massacre, it would properly secure the borders, deport extremists, dismantle radical networks, and allow honest, fearless discussion about the greatest threat to our nation’s future: Islamic ideology.

Instead, it has chosen censorship.

Silencing speech does not stop violence. It only ensures that next time, it will come with even less warning – and with more innocent blood spilled.

I know it’s Christmas Eve, sorry, but I could not stand by another day and witness the worst imaginable response from a Government to a national disaster. I had to speak up.

If you feel any safer today in the light of these decisions – then sadly, you have completely missed the real issue facing our nation.

Our Government hasn’t missed it – no, they know exactly what needs to happen – they just refuse to do what is right and necessary – because they will lose a large part of their voter base if they do.

What we are witnessing in our nation today is politics triumphing over leadership and the outcome this time will be catastrophic.

True leaders would do what is right and what is effective – even if it means the voters toss them out at the next election.

We can only hope and pray that our nation sees real leadership sooner rather than later – because the current trajectory is leading us into an Australia we never dreamed of – and a nightmare from which there may be no return.
