Faith is more than just belief – it’s an active trust in God’s power and promises. Jesus said in Matthew 17:20,“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” This verse reminds us that even a small amount of faith in a great God can accomplish incredible things.

The story of David and Goliath (1 Samuel 17) is a perfect example. While the Israelite army cowered in fear, David believed God would give him victory over the giant. His faith led him to step forward when others shrank back, and God honoured his trust by giving him the victory. David didn’t rely on his own strength but on God’s power, and that made all the difference.

Faith doesn’t mean we won’t face obstacles, but it does mean we trust God in the midst of them. It calls us to step out even when the path isn’t clear. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Faith gives us courage to believe in the unseen promises of God, trusting that He is working behind the scenes.
