Many Christians live under the pressure of needing to “have it all together.” We fear failure, wrestle with guilt, and compare ourselves to others who seem more holy, more faithful, more spiritual.
But the truth is: we’re all in process. And that’s okay.
Paul reminds us, “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6). God is not finished with you. He’s not discouraged by your weaknesses or surprised by your setbacks.
The Christian life is not a straight line – it’s a journey. One with ups and downs, victories and failures. What matters is not how fast you grow but that you keep walking with Jesus.
Peter’s story is a perfect example. He walked on water, declared Jesus the Messiah – and then denied Him three times. But Jesus didn’t give up on him. After the resurrection, He restored Peter and empowered him to lead the early church (John 21:15–17).
We need to give ourselves the same grace God gives us. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9). It’s not about being strong enough – it’s about depending on the One who is.
Grace doesn’t mean we excuse sin or stop growing. It means we grow from a place of love, not fear. We repent not to earn God’s favour, but because we already have it.
So when you stumble, don’t hide. Come to God with honesty and humility. He’s not waiting to punish you – He’s ready to help you up.
Let’s stop pretending and start embracing the beautiful mess of spiritual growth. Let’s extend grace to ourselves and others, knowing we all need it.
God’s not done with you. You’re still His work in progress – and His masterpiece in the making.
