Life is filled with unexpected storms – health crises, job losses, relational conflicts. These challenges can shake our faith and leave us feeling adrift. Yet, Scripture offers guidance on how to navigate these turbulent times. You will remember that time when the disciples faced a literal storm:

Matthew 8:23-27  “Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, ‘Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!’ He replied, ‘You of little faith, why are you so afraid?’ Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.”

This passage teaches us that Jesus is present even when it seems He’s silent. Our natural reaction to storms is fear, but Jesus calls us to faith.

Isaiah 41:10 offers further reassurance: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

When facing life’s storms, remember that God is with you. Lean into His promises, seek His presence, and trust that He will guide you through.
