Humility is a virtue that is so often misunderstood. The world sees it as weakness, but in the kingdom of God, humility is strength.

Philippians 2:3  “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”

True humility is not about thinking less of ourselves, it’s about thinking of ourselves less.

Jesus, our ultimate example, demonstrated humility in every aspect of His life. The Apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 2:6-8 that though He was in very nature God, He humbled Himself to become a servant and ultimately gave His life for us. If the King of Kings could humble Himself, how much more should we?

Pride leads to division, but humility fosters unity. When we put others before ourselves, we create an environment of love and peace. Humility allows us to admit our mistakes, seek forgiveness, and grow in grace. It frees us from the burden of comparison and competition.

Walking in humility means daily surrendering our will to God, recognizing that every blessing we have is from Him. It is only in humility that we can reflect Christ’s love more fully, impacting the world around us in ways we may never realise.
