Waiting is one of the hardest parts of the Christian life. Whether it’s for an answer to prayer, a breakthrough, or direction, waiting can test our patience and faith. But Scripture reassures us that God’s timing is perfect. “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” (Psalm 27:14).
Joseph’s story in Genesis teaches us this truth. Sold into slavery, falsely accused, and imprisoned, he waited years before seeing God’s promise fulfilled. Yet, during that time, God was shaping his character and preparing him for a greater purpose. His waiting season wasn’t wasted – it was preparation for something far greater.
Waiting is never wasted. It deepens our trust in God and aligns us with His perfect plan. Isaiah 40:31 promises, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.” If you’re in a season of waiting, hold onto God’s promises and trust that His timing is always best. Use the waiting period to strengthen your relationship with Him through prayer, study, and obedience.
