2 Corinthians 2:14 (MSG)  “And I got it, thank God! In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. Through us, He brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance.”

Do you fight from victory or do you battle for victory throughout your life? If you are battling forthe win, you will struggle, feel helpless against insurmountable obstacles, and eventually give up. When you are fighting from victory, you can do it with the unwavering confidence that God is in charge, that the battle is His, not yours, and that He has already won!

When the Apostle Paul shares his personal perspective on living a life of victory in 2 Corinthians 2:14, he is conveying this lesson to us. This was one of those “Aha!” moments for Paul. “Thank God, I got it,” he exclaims. God takes us on an endless triumphant procession from place to place through the person of the Messiah, or Christ.

It will also be a “Aha!” moment for you when you realise that Jesus is your victory! You will no longer struggle to overcome sin, yourself, and Satan. Knowing that you have the victory in Christ, your Messiah, will bring you great blessing! Hiding the truth that the devil has already been vanquished is one of his greatest tricks! We have already triumphed over sin and temptation!

At the cross, Jesus conquered both sin and Satan! Paul states in Colossians that you were spiritually dead because of your sinful nature. God then raised you up along with Christ, pardoning all of your sins. He erased the evidence of the accusations made against you and removed it by nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the spiritual authorities and rulers in this way. He openly humiliated them by defeating them on the cross. (Colossians 2:13–15)

Not only are our sins forgiven through His death on the cross and the power of His resurrection life, but we also receive the triumph over sin and Satan! Our world remains a fallen one. The adversary never stops trying to trick and entice us. We don’t need to struggle to prevail. We battle from a position of victory!

1 Corinthians 15:57  “But praise be to God! By means of our Lord Jesus Christ, He grants us the victory.”

No matter how hard you struggle, you can never earn or gain the victory in your life! Why? Because it is in Christ that you and I have the victory! Believe it, receive it and then live it!
